Hey ya'll! I'm Clara!
The face behind CKC
For as long as I can remember, photography has been one of my greatest passions. I love being behind the lens, as well as getting to help people capture their special moments and making them feel as beautiful as I see them! I believe everyone has a unique personality and I try to show that in my photography. From the posed pictures, to the candids and everything in between, I have you covered!
About me
If I could describe myself in one word, it would be the word passionate. When I love something, I love it whole heartedly and put my all into it, photography being one of those things. When I was younger, I remember always taking pictures whether it be on my iPod, iPad, or my parents' phone... It didn't matter to me. All I wanted to do was take pictures. My family must have noticed this because around 6th grade I got my first camera. Oh boy was I elated! I remember taking that camera everywhere I went and taking pictures of absolutely everything that caught my eye. I would definitely have considered that camera to be one of my most prized possessions at the time, even though it was nothing quite too special to anyone else. It brought me so much joy to be able to share and show everyone how I saw them. It was in that moment I realized how much photography mattered to me and that I was meant to be a photographer. So passionate about photography, I decided to turn my gifts into a business and share it with others! Fast forward 10 years later, here I am doing what I love, just as bright eyed as I was the day I got my first camera!
Another thing I love so dearly is my Nana. She is my biggest role model, and the greatest friend and gift God could ever bless me with… overall just my absolute favorite person in the world. She has always encouraged and supported me with my photography and helped me grow and succeed in every way she could. This is exactly why I chose to take my Nana’s middle name and name my photography business Clara Kay Collections. I thought it would only be fitting for her to be apart of this journey with me and also a constant reminder that it is in part, because of her that I am the person I am today pursing this passion of mine. I love you lots, Nana!
